Recognizing that knowledge is most valuable when applied, the session will delve into both proactive and reactive behavior management techniques. Topics include fostering bonding and reciprocity, reframing challenging behaviors, avoiding performance deficits, building effective two-way communication, interpreting the "language" used by ECSE students to express themselves, and applying the renowned A-B-C model of behavior management for optimal results. Attendees will leave the session with actionable tools to teach both themselves and their students how to self-regulate proactively.
