Description
Children are fascinated when a puppet becomes part of their lives. Puppets help children recognize cause and effect, retell a story, learn sequence and classification, use their imagination, draw conclusions, and make both personal and literacy connections. Young children mimic what they see. The children will learn about other cultures, nature and science, math, and any concept a puppet delivers. Using a puppet reaches out to children who learn through visual, auditory, and kinesthetic modalities. Objectives: To show the importance of using a puppet with children. To find a comfortable place using a Mascot puppet. Learning how to move a puppet. Creating a voice for a puppet.
