As teachers you have the best job in the world. You have the privilege to work with children who are filled with imagination, hope, whimsy, wonder and delight in the world around them. You can sustain this sense of enthusiasm by creating nature-based experiences to help inspire their sense of wonder. In this training you will learn practical tips for implementing nature-based activities indoors and outdoors, understand Inquiry-Based and Project Approach teaching strategies, and identify materials that can be used for these activities. Ultimately, you will recognize that nature-based activities offer the perfect opportunity to address all the STEAM subject areas. Participants will share ideas and experiences through engaging discussions to gain more insight into what works well in the classroom.
