Jane Ann Bruner has been in education for over 36 years in school districts in both Oklahoma and Texas. She received her B.S. in Elementary Education from Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma. Jane Ann has taught various age levels, but the majority of her experience is in early childhood having spent 17 years teaching prekindergarten. During her time teaching in the classroom, she received Teacher of the Year at two different campuses as well as the West Teaching Excellence Award for Wichita Falls ISD. She recently retired from her role as the Early Learning Curriculum Specialist for Wichita Falls ISD where she supported Head Start, prekindergarten, and kindergarten teachers. She used the Frog Street curriculum during her time in the classroom and supported the implementation of the curriculum in both their Head Start and PreK programs. In her role, she has also prioritized preparing students to be successful as they begin their academic career, both academically as well as socially and emotionally. She has presented various trainings for local school districts and educational service centers as well as several state conferences. She presented at the 2024 Frog Street Splash Early Childhood Conference. Currently, she serves as a Per Deim trainer for Frog Street Press. In addition, she is an active member of the North Texas Area United Way Early Childhood Coalition and the Texas and National Associations for the Education of Young Children.
